RisingJoy has launched its D2C short-form entertainment platform RJOY in the U.S. and Japan.
The platform arrives via TikTok Minis with 20 originals planned for the second half of this year, alongside its curated catalog of micro-entertainment series.
“RJOY is the natural next step for RisingJoy,” said Cassandra Yang, CEO and co-founder, as APOS kicks off in Bali. “In just a short time since our launch, we have curated some of the world’s best microdrama content and are building the distribution relationships to match. RJOY brings that together in a direct-to-consumer experience, backed by partners who share our belief that micro-entertainment is one of the most significant content opportunities of this generation.”
The originals encompass a range of genres and formats, including AI anime and live-action. The anime slate includes Addicted to the Dark Boss and Hide My Secret in the Moonlight, adapted from existing microdramas. Locked Away, I Break Unbreakable is an original fantasy anime. On the live-action front there’s The Substitute Bride’s Secret Wonderland and Blind Spoiled.
